Conrad
Burke
- President & CEO
Mr. Burke brings over 17 years of proven expertise
guiding innovative semiconductor and optical technologies into the
commercial market.
Prior
to Innovalight, Conrad was senior vice president of worldwide sales
and marketing for Bookham Inc. Before Bookham, Mr. Burke was a venture
partner at Sevin Rosen Funds, a leading US-based venture capital
firm. His career has spanned research and development, product management,
marketing, sales, general management and operations in major global
organizations, NEC, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems.
He was also the first executive hire at OMM Inc., a venture backed
startup based in San Diego, California focused on developing MEMS
based optical switching systems. He has deep international experience
having lived in and run major divisions of these large companies
in Germany, UK and Japan.
Conrad
represented Innovalight at the World Economic Forum’s Annual
Meeting in Davos, Switzerland in 2006 to receive The Technology
Pioneer Award for Environmental and Energy Technologies.
Conrad
is on the board of directors of Capella Inc., a subsystems manufacturer
based in San Jose, California. He has a MS in Physics from Trinity
College, Dublin, a BS in Physics from University College, Dublin,
Ireland and he has also attended The London Business School. |

Dr.
Homer Antoniadis - CTO
& VP of Engineering
Dr.
Antoniadis brings a rich background of technical and engineering
leadership in photovoltaics and other large area optoelectronic
applications to Innovalight. His 15 year career spans Osram Opto
Semiconductors, Hewlett-Packard Labs, Agilent Technologies and Xerox
and he is widely recognized as a regular invited lecturer and conference
chair at leading industry events. At Osram he led the product development
efforts from R&D through production for a variety of OLED displays.
He also brings valuable knowledge and experience in the area of
high-throughput, low-cost, printable electronic technologies.
Dr.
Antoniadis has more than 50 publications in photovoltaics, OLEDs,
polymer materials and amorphous silicon and has 17 issued US patents.
Homer
has a PhD and MS in Physics from Syracuse University and a BS in
Physics from Ioannina University, Greece. |

Tu
Du – Vice President, Operations
Tu
brings to Innovalight over 17 years of semiconductor processing,
and solar cells manufacturing in both development and high-volume
production environments. Tu joined Innovalight from Advent Solar,
New Mexico where he was Director of Engineering since 2005. Tu was
responsible for building out the production engineering organization
and managed the technology ramp up of a 25MW photovoltaic cell and
module manufacturing site.
Prior to Advent Solar, Tu spent 10 years of his career at Intel
Corporation, spanning manufacturing, process development and engineering.
He held numerous engineering and operation roles where he led factory
level efforts in improving yield, output, and costs. Tu has also
worked at Sandia National Laboratories on developing monolithic
integration of diffractive optics on GaAs VCSEL.
Tu has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University
of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Optics from The University
of Rochester, New York.

Nick
Cravalho - Director of Business Development
Mr.
Cravalho brings a rich history of commercializing innovative technologies
to Innovalight.
Most
recently, as a Product Manager at the thin-film solar start-up Miasole,
Mr. Cravalho was responsible for product strategy, solar market
analysis and product cost. Prior to Miasole, he worked in the Business
Development group at Kiva Systems, a warehouse automation company.
Mr. Cravalho spent the first seven years of his career at Applied
Materials where he managed engineering and commercialization teams
in the design, development and commercial launch of automated material
handling equipment.
Mr.
Cravalho received his Masters in Management and Engineering from
the Sloan School of Business and the School of Engineering at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also has a Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California,
Berkeley. |

Dr.
Karel Vanheusden - Director
of PV Ink Development
Dr.Vanheusden
has overall responsibility for Innovalight’s thin-film solar
cell printing platform.
Dr.
Vanheusden joined Innovalight from Cabot Corporation’s printable
electronics business unit. He has over twelve years of experience
spanning research and product development. He has managed major
strategic programs using nano-particle based thin-film technologies
for electronic applications.
At
Cabot Corporation, Dr. Vanheusden has managed teams of chemists
and engineers in developing commercial ink-jet printed flexible
electronic products for major global brands such as Samsung, Epson,
Nokia and Kodak.
He
received his PhD and MSc in Physics from Katholieke Universiteit
Leuven, Belgium and he is an inventor of over 20 patents.
Dr.
Vanheusden is the principle author of over 50 publications in major
scientific journals and has presented his work at major international
conferences. |

Dr.
Francesco Lemmi -
Director, Device Development
Dr.
Lemmi brings over 12 years of experience and leadership to Innovalight
in the development of low-cost solar cells and thin-film transistor
products.
Dr.
Lemmi has a rich background in amorphous and polycrystalline silicon
technologies as well as a deep understanding of ultra low temperature
thin-film processing. He has held a number of key senior engineering
and management positions spanning Nanosys Inc., FlexICs Inc., and
Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).
Dr.
Lemmi is the author of 9 US patents and has over 40 publications
in major international technical journals. He has an MS and a PhD
in Electrical Engineering from the first University of Rome, Italy. |

Christina
Teng - Director of
Finance
Ms. Teng has over fifteen years of hands-on and senior management
experience in corporate finance at major public corporations and
venture backed technology startup companies, including financial
planning, accounting, treasury, taxation, mergers and acquisitions,
risk management and stock administration. Prior to joining Innovalight,
Ms. Teng was controller for Crossbow Technology, Inc. Before joining
Crossbow, Ms. Teng was divisional controller for the US operations
of Bookham, Inc. Prior to Bookham, Ms. Teng has held various financial
management positions at New Focus, Inc., MMC Technology Inc., Digital
Video Systems, and California Microwave, Inc. Earlier in her career,
Ms. Teng spent over three years with KPMG as an auditor of major
public companies.
Ms.
Teng is a California certified public accountant and has a BS in
Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley.

Alex
Sousa – Counsel
Mr.
Sousa’s experience is as diverse as his technical knowledge.
He has prepared and prosecuted over 100 patent applications in areas
as varied as semiconductor plasma etching, networking hardware,
solar panel clamping systems, 3G wireless software, and micro-turbine
power generation.
Prior
to becoming an attorney, Mr. Sousa was a program manager at Repeater
Technologies, and both a middleware marketing manager and a microprocessor
program manager at Hewlett-Packard.
Mr.
Sousa received a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.
He also received a MBA from the University of Michigan Business
School where he was Managing Editor of the Monroe Street Journal,
and a B.S.M.E. from the United States Military Academy, West Point.
Mr.
Sousa is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark
Office and is a member of the California Bar. |
